The Goldfinch Lofts will be the first Zero Carbon Certified (by Living Future) Low Income Housing Tax Credit project in the country. It will also be the first Passive House certified (by Phius) multifamily building in the state of Iowa. The project will feature a hybrid mass timber / light-frame lumber design as well as low carbon concrete and high efficiency mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The project is the recipient of the Iowa Finance Authority’s second annual LIHTC Innovative Set-Aside competition.
